Balch Reaches $130K in Fundraising

July 8, 2010 – Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA – State Senate Candidate Graham Balch’s campaign reported receiving 129 contributions totaling $29,416.95 in the second quarter of 2010 bringing Balch’s total to $133,602 and 544 contributions through his June 30th financial disclosure.

These results make Balch the second highest fundraising Democrat running for the General Assembly in 2010 only behind the grandson of a former U.S. President.

98.5% of Balch’s contributions have come from private citizens showing that the Balch campaign is a campaign of people standing up and saying they want change in government.

Of note, Balch received contributions from both Democratic authors of the 1992 Georgia ethics reform bill, Ron Fennel and Ken Poston, who hope Balch can build on their commitment to improving ethics accountability for elected officials in Georgia.

State Senate Candidate Graham Balch “To build a Democratic majority in Georgia, we need Democrats who can raise money and reach out to voters across the political spectrum and bring them back to the Democratic Party. I hope the strength of our campaign demonstrates not just our ability to win, but our ability going forward to help build a Democratic majority in Georgia.”
