GRAHAM BALCH CHALLENGES VINCENT FORT TO DEBATE

July 6, 2010

Atlanta, GA – The Balch campaign publicly calls for debates in the Democratic Primary for Senate District 39. Graham Balch says “Voters deserve to hear candidates discuss the issues. Since this campaign began we have been talking about improving our public schools and creating jobs while our opponent, in a desperate attempt to keep voters from focusing on his absentee voting record, is misleading the voters with inaccurate attacks.”

Instead of political rhetoric and misleading attacks, voters want to hear where candidates stand on important issues and Graham Balch is ready to debate Vincent Fort anytime, anywhere. Fort skipped the Georgia Stand-Up candidate forum just like he skipped votes on MARTA funding, education and job creation in the Senate and the Balch campaign calls on Fort to agree to and attend public debates that allow voters to make an informed choice on the important issues for Atlanta and East Point.

Graham Balch, a life-long resident of Atlanta, is currently an award-winning biology teacher at Grady High School in the Atlanta Public Schools. Prior to becoming a teacher, he served in the Peace Corps and worked for several years in business, including as the CEO of a small company. He has also served on his neighborhood board and NPU-E. Balch is currently an elected post seat holder with the Fulton County Democratic Party. Balch is focused on improving our public education by implementing President Obama’s educational reform plans and getting our economy back on track by creating jobs in Georgia.
